The condition is characterized by a localized eczematous eruption restricted to postoperative anesthetic area in the lateral side of midline incision scar of total knee arthroplasty (TKA) corresponding to the distribution of the injured infrapatellar branch of the saphenous nerve (IPBSN).</span></span></span></span> <span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><span style="color:black">SKINTED is subset of</span></span></span></span> <span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><span style="color:black">autonomic denervation dermatitis (ADD)</span></span></span></span> <span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><span style="color:black">that is site and procedure specific. We described a case of 73-year-old woman who developed a pruritic, erythematous, scaly plaque lateral to her TKA incision scar 3 months postoperation. Physical examination revealed sensory loss within the affected area and a localized eczematous plaque restricted to the anesthetic zone. Laboratory testing was unremarkable. Treatment with topical fluocinolone acetonide and oral cetirizine led to rapid skin lesion improvement, with gradual and partial recovery of sensation over ten months.
