Rosemary Leaves( Rosmarinus officinalis) is widely used in our daily diet and recently the source of much interest because of its medicinal properties and gained importance as a medicinal plant, The current work was aimed to evaluate the protective efficacy of rosemary leaves extract against adverse effects in male rabbits exposed to cypermethrin ; forty male rabbits were employed in this experience , group one ( without exposure); rabbits received corn oil ( 1 ml) group two; rabbits oral exposure to cypermethrin with dose 66.5 mg/kg/b.w ( 1/10 of LD50) dissolved in corn oil , group three( protective group) received rosemary extract with dose 100mg/kg plus cypermethrine with dose 66.5 mg/kg/b.w., group four received rosemary extract with dose 200mg/kg plus cypermethrine with dose 66.5 mg/kg/b.w. the above doses once per day for 5 weeks respectively. results exhibited that oral exposure of cypermethrin cause to oxidative stress evidenced by pronounced elevation value of oxidative biomarker malondialdehyde( MDA) concomitantly with imbalance of inflammatory cytokines ( TNF-α and IL-6) values and significantly reduction in total antioxidant capacity (TAC) value, as well as suppression in activity of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) enzyme was notably , these changes comparison to group without exposure ( normal control ), while the findings of the study manifested that oral administration of rosemary extract plus CYP for 5 weeks resulted in decrease the MDA value with along an increase in value of TAC this is accompanied by markedly declined in inflammatory cytokines as well as observable increased in level of AChE
