Abstract:   (8 Views)
Erectile dysfunction in male patients receiving MMT is a complex condition influenced by both biological and psychological factors. Methadone's effect on hormonal balance and the nervous system can disrupt sexual function, while mental health issues related to addiction and recovery can exacerbate the issue. An effective management plan should include hormonal assessment, psychological support, pharmacological therapy, and patient education. Encouraging healthier lifestyle choices and addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of ED can significantly enhance sexual health and overall quality of life for individuals in treatment for substance abuse.
